What is a Life Group?
A Life Group is a group of 3-12 individuals who meet weekly in homes to commit themselves to doing life together by living out the “one another” passages of scripture through authentic community Bible study and evangelism.
Why is Center Pointe so committed to Life Groups?
We exist to make disciples. It was a commandment Jesus gave to His disciples in Matthew 28:18-20. Following the example of Jesus and the New Testament church in the book of Acts, we believe discipleship happens best in the context of smaller groups. Life Groups will be the place where our mission of connecting people to Christ and each other to change lives forever is best accomplished.
Why should I consider joining a Life Group?
God didn’t create us to go through life alone. He created us to live in community with each other. Life Groups will be an environment where people can connect with each other, study scripture, invite their friends and neighbors, and be challenged to grow in their relationship with Jesus. It’s the place where our needs are met and where we can meet the needs of others. It’s a place where we can come together to use our spiritual gifts and experience life change. Life Groups are the place where people journey together toward a life of Christ-centeredness.
How do I get connected into a Life Group?
You can get connected to a Life Group by filling out a Life Group brochure on Sunday morning or you can simply search for a group online using our Life Group Finder. You can search for a group based on the criteria that is most important to you such as location, type of group, etc. Once your criteria is selected, the Life Group finder will present you with a list of groups that match your selections. When performing a search, you may notice that some groups are designated as "Closed" A "Closed Group" means that the Life Group already has at least 12 people. Once a group reaches 12, it is closed to prevent it from becoming too large.
